Xiaomi has started seeding a new MIUI 10 Global Beta update to the first batch of devices. The MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.6.28 comes with bug fixes such as settings app keeps stopping, phones entering recovery mode when charging and translation issues to the cleaner app. Furthermore, the Chinese company also revealed the entire list of devices receiving MIUI 10 Global Beta update along with the schedule. The popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be receiving the global update with the second batch of devices at the end of July. Other popular Xiaomi devices such as the Mi Max 2, Redmi 5A and others are also part of the second batch.
Xiaomi will be releasing the MIUI 10 Global Beta update to the first batch of devices in early July. The devices which are part of the first batch are Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix 2S, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5 Pro/Redmi Note 5, Mi 5, Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix. Xiaomi will push the update to the second batch of devices- Redmi Note 4X/Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi Max 2, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Redmi 5, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 Plus during late July.
Lastly, the third batch of devices including the Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm and the Redmi 3S/3X will receive the Global Beta ROM in early August.
However, do make a note that this a rough schedule posted by Xiaomi on MIUI Forums. "But it is only an expected release date. The final release date will be adjusted according to the specific condition," the forum post reads. Xiaomi is yet to post the download links for the first batch of devices, which might happen in the next couple of days.
If you're using MIUI 7/MIUI 8/MIUI 9 stable ROM, then you've to upgrade to MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM via the fastboot method, which unfortunately requires the bootloader to be unlocked, and as you might be aware of, that's a tedious process with Xiaomi devices. If you're on MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, wait for an OTA update to pop up on your smartphone.
