Realme XT smartphone has been showcased in China earlier today and the specifications of the smartphone are now available on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. At the launch event of Realme 5 and 5 Pro, Realme confirmed that it would be launching a 64MP quad-camera smartphone- the Realme XT in India by the end of September. Going by the specifications detailed, the Realme XT seems to be a Realme 5 Pro with some modifications to the cameras and internal hardware. That being said, the Realme XT is also said to arrive with Snapdragon 712 chipset which also powers the Realme 5 Pro. When Realme confirmed the name of Realme XT, it's expected that the 64MP camera phone from Realme will be a successor to the Realme X that arrived with Snapdragon 710, AMOLED display, pop-up selfie camera and premium glass body. However, it now seems like the Realme XT will be a bumped variant of the Realme 5 Pro.

Realme XT Specifications Detailed: Snapdragon 712, AMOLED Screen and More

The complete spec-sheet of the Realme XT is now available on the web. The Realme XT will sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front and there will be a teardrop notch housing the front-facing camera. The Realme X arrived with a pop-up selfie camera, but that won't be the case with Realme XT. The design of the Realme XT is pretty much similar to the Realme 5 Pro, except the fact that the XT will offer premium glass body. The presence of AMOLED screen means the Realme XT will offer an in-display fingerprint scanner, retaining it from the Realme X.

Underneath, the Realme XT will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset which we got to see on the Vivo Z1 Pro first. Realme also said the XT would arrive in various storage models- 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB. The Realme XT will also ship with a bigger 4000mAh battery and 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

Coming to the most interesting part of the smartphone, the Realme XT will offer a 64MP quad-camera setup. The primary camera on the XT will be 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor, which will have an f/1.8 aperture. The phone will also offer an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens. Besides the 64MP camera sensor, the rest of the three sensors are identical to the Realme 5 Pro. Notably, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is also expected to ship with the similar camera setup.

The Realme XT will also ship with ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie and not the RealmeOS which is currently in the works.

Realme XT vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro

Xiaomi will be launching its first 64MP quad-camera smartphone on August 29 and it's the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Note 8 Pro is already confirmed to come with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, but rumours also indicate a Snapdragon 712 variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Note 8 Pro will also feature a glass back, teardrop notch IPS LCD display, up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, 4500mAh battery and quad cameras on the back. Both the Note 8 Pro and Realme XT are expected to reach the Indian market by the end of September, probably before Diwali this year.
