Motorola has set a launch event on July 25, where the Lenovo subsidiary will unveil the shatterproof display powered Moto Z2 Force. Before the launch event, press renders of the device have leaked online revealing the design of the smartphone.

And now, a new report from Chinese site Baidu revealed real life images of the Moto Z2 Force. As everyone expected, the Moto Z2 Force will come with a dual rear camera setup at the back. The two sensors may be of two 12MP sensors with one capturing regular RGB shots, while the other one may capture wide-angle shots. Furthermore, the Z2 Force will be the first Motorola smartphone to feature dual cameras.

The design of the Moto Z2 Force is much similar to the Moto Z2 Play, however, this year, the device is entirely built of metal, rather than glass and metal back as first generation Moto Z phones.

To the front, we have a 5.5-inch Quad HD shatterproof display, which was confirmed by Motorola itself. The fingerprint sensor rests below the screen, and it's an oval-shaped one, as seen on Motorola devices released this year.

Internally, the Moto Z2 Force will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, mated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Motorola surprised everyone by releasing the Moto Z2 Play with a smaller battery, compared to the last year’s Moto Z Play. And the same is going to happen with the Moto Z2 Force as well. According to the details obtained by Venture Beat a few days ago, Motorola is shaving off the battery size of Moto Z2 Force by 20 percent to make the device thinner. The battery to be used in the Z2 Force will be a 2730mAh unit, which is disappointing and nowhere comes close to other flagship phones battery capacity.

That sounds surprising, but Motorola believes that the term ‘Force’ represents the shatterproof display. The highlights of the Moto Z2 Force will just be the shatterproof display and support for Moto Mods. Alongside the Moto Z2 Force, the company may announce the standard Moto Z2, which won't feature a shatterproof display and comes with an even smaller battery.
