RCom Partners Alcatel-Lucent for Superior Network Management for $1Billion

India's leading telecommunications service provider Reliance Communications has inked a contract with Alcatel-Lucent with the target to deliver superior network management and customer experience in Eastern and Southern India upto 2020.

The deal, first-of-its-kind comes in the form that Alcatel-Lucent will integrate RCom's operations -both wireless and wireline to create world's leading network management organization. The optimized resources integrated will help to deliver world class services to RCom's customers in the line of customer demand.

Alcatel-Lucent will setup and operate next-generation OSS (operations support systems) and introduce advanced real-time optimization tools toimprove network performance across Reliance’s wireless, wireline, long-distance, fiber and utilities’ functions. RCOM and Alcatel-Lucent will work together to create the pathway required by the emerging demands for data-driven and multiple device-led usage of communication solutionsand applications by Indian telecom customers.
