Reliance Communications (RCom) has come up with a new offer, although it's not for prepaid or postpaid customers, but for dongle users. The company has listed a new offer on its e-commerce portal: rcom-eshop.com. RCom has announced a new combo offer of Reliance 4G Wi-Pod & Reliance 4G SIM Bundle Offer.

RCom is offering 4G Hotspot and bundled data offer of 1GB data per day for 365 days. So, the effective cost for both would be Rs. 5,199 for both the 4G Hotspot and prepaid data offer. The best part of the offer is that it's valid for one year.

Talking about the specifications of the 4G dongle, it's manufactured by Chinese gear maker ZTE and weighs 80grams. It is powered by the Qualcomm MDM9307 chipset and can connect up to 31 devices at a time. The device is built of plastic and has a micro USB port, SIM card slot, microSD card slot which accepts up to 32GB microSD card.

The Reliance 4G Wi-Pod offers LTE connectivity under Band 3, Band 5, and Band 40. This hotspot device from RCom has a 2300mAh battery powering it, which is rated to deliver up to seven hours of battery with a single charge.

Sadly, the RCom Wi-Pod is available in a single black colour option, and also comes with one-year manufacturer warranty. This is probably the best 4G hotspot offer from any telecom operator at the moment.

RCom has come up with the offer, especially to counter Reliance Jio's recent changes to the JioFi tariff plans. Reliance Jio, at the moment, is offering a JioFi device at Rs. 1,999, and for new users, there are some attractive tariff plans.

With the Rs. 309 plan, users will get 1GB data per day for six months, a total of 168GB. The Rs. 509 plan gives 2GB data per day for four months, while the Rs. 999 plan gives 120GB data for two months, instead of one month. However, these plans are for just six months, whereas RCom is offering the same for one year. Customers can purchase the RCom Wi-Pod device by heading over to shop-rcom.com's offer section.
