The wait for Android users is finally over as Prisma has gone official on the Google Play store. For all those who are still not aware of Prisma, it is a photo-editing app with a bunch of artsy filters that can turn your regular image into a work of art. These filters are inspired by the work of famous artists such as Picasso. The app uses cloud-based artificial intelligence to apply the filter on regular images, which makes the output look neat.
Initially, Prisma was limited to the iOS users. The Android beta version was launched five days ago on Prisma's official website, but it was for a limited period for the users who sign up for its newsletter. Here is the download link of Prisma on Google Play Store. With the kind of popularity Prisma is enjoying, we expect a lot of users turn out on Play Store for downloading the app.
Here are some examples of what all you can do with Prisma:
Prisma's co-founder shared some stats about the app:
- Over 400 million photos have been ‘prismed’
- It’s been downloaded over 10.6 million times on iOS alone
- There are over 1.55 million daily active users
- Daily downloads maxed out about 700k
