Poco India has finally started seeding the stable MIUI 11 update to the Poco F1 users. A few days ago, it was officially revealed that Xiaomi would release the MIUI 11 update to Poco F1 on October 27. While a small number of users received it on the promised rollout day, majority of the Poco F1 users are observing the MIUI 11 update notification on their smartphone since yesterday night. The stable MIUI 11 update is said to weigh 1.8GB in size and it will bring a lot of new features to the Poco F1. As always, we're expecting the update to reach only a few Poco F1 users in India in the first phase, followed by a broader release in the coming weeks. The Poco F1 gets the stable update after other Xiaomi phones like the Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi Note 7/7S users.

MIUI 11 Brings a Host of New Features to Poco F1

MIUI 11 stable update for the Poco F1 is now available for the users in India and it weighs in around 1.8GB in size. That said, the OTA update size is on the higher side, but we're expecting it to vary with every Poco F1 user. The Redmi K20 MIUI 11 OTA update package was around 800MB in size and it was the same case for Redmi Note 7 Pro as well.

As for the new features, all the ones which Xiaomi brought with the MIUI 11 are coming to the Poco F1. MIUI 11 adds new dynamic lock screen, video wallpapers, Sounds of nature and there are new visual changes as well. MIUI 11 also brings new app icons, but the company is also providing the option to retain old app icons which are loved by many since the release of MIUI 8. Other features like Mi Share, Mi Work with an improved file manager app & Mi Tasks app and so on will also make into the Poco F1 with MIUI 11 update.

Xiaomi released the Poco F1 with some exclusive features last year, but this time around, there are no such features. MIUI for Poco was the operating system name for Poco F1 and it remains the same. The Poco F1 already has the Dark Theme and the MIUI 11 enhances it even further. But sadly, the MIUI 11 update for Poco F1 is still based on Android 9 Pie and not Android 10, as everyone expected.

For all the Poco F1 users who're looking for the MIUI 11 update, we would suggest you check for it manually by heading over to Settings>About Phone>System Update. If you see the update notification, hit the Download Now and starting updating it once the download finishes. As said, the update is currently rolling out only to select Poco F1 users in the country.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Note 7S Also Receiving MIUI 11 Update

In other news, the Redmi Note 7 series is also being updated to MIUI 11. Yesterday, we reported the Redmi Note 7 Pro's MIUI 11 update rollout. Xiaomi also started MIUI 11 rollout to Redmi Note 7 and Note 7S smartphones as well yesterday. With this, Xiaomi has pushed MIUI 11 update to five smartphones- Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Poco F1, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S. Other phones like the Redmi Y3, Redmi 7 also slated to get the update in the first phase before October 31. In the first week of November, the Redmi K20 Pro will also get the update.
