Panasonic has launched yet another 4G VoLTE smartphone in its P series, dubbed as the Panasonic P88. The phone is priced at Rs. 9,290 and will be up for sale through retail stores all across India. It will be available in Gold and Charcoal Grey colour options.

Panasonic P88

The Panasonic P88 features a 5.3-inch HD IPS on-cell 2.5D curved Asahi Glass display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. There is an internal memory of 16GB for the phone, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. Regarding connectivity, the P88 supports dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE (Band 3, 5, and 40), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. A 2600mAh battery backs the device, which is pretty underpowered as a phone that has 4G VoLTE support - it should at least come with a 3000mAh battery. In terms of design, the P88 boasts metal frame body along with anti-dust coating and a textured rear panel.

Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said,"With the year drawing to a close, the P88 is an affordable 4G smartphone offering for the Indian market. In a first for Panasonic smartphones, the phone comes with a front LED flash for the selfie lovers The phone also comes with an anti-dust receiver to help maintain the phone for longer periods of time. We continue our endeavour to offer differentiated product offerings to our customers."
