INDIA ADDS 8.9 MILLION GSM SUBSCRIBER IN APRIL

India's GSM mobile operators added 8.93 million subscribers to their networks in April-2009, taking total GSM subscribers to 297.7 million, according to data released by the Cellular Operators' Association of India. RELIANCE ADDS 3.3 MN CUSTOMERS IN FEBRUARY

Reliance Communications (RCom) has added 3.38 million new customers in February 2009 on both GSM and CDMA networks, increasing its total subscriber base to 69.38 million.However,this is below RCom’s subscriber addition of around 5 million recorded during the previous month. Vodafone Idea Raises Rs 5000 Crore from Banks to Pay NCD Instalments
