AUGUST 2009 SEES 9.74 MILLION NEW GSM SUBSCRIBERS ADDED

JULY ADDS 9.89 MILLION GSM SUBSCRIBERS

Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has released the GSM subscriber base for July and its not surprising to see the additions but at a slower rate. LEADING MOBILE OPERATORS FINED BY DOT

The Department of Telecom has imposed a penalty on mobile operators, including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Idea Cellular for not verifying the details of all their mobile subscribers. NUMBER OF NEW TELECOM SUBSCRIBERS DIPS IN MAY
