Oppo R15 Pro With Snapdragon 660 SoC Launched in India for Rs 25,990

After the R17 Pro, Oppo has launched yet another phone in India called the Oppo R15 Pro. The smartphone has been launched for Rs 25,990 which clearly goes against the Vivo V11 Pro which is also available for the same price in the country. Oppo has confirmed that the newly launched Oppo R15 Pro will be available for buying in India very soon and exclusively on Amazon India store. The key highlights of the Oppo R15 Pro are that the phone comes with VOOC Flash Charge fast-charging support, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB of RAM and dual rear camera setup. The specs also quite at par to compete with the Vivo V11 Pro which is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 6GB RAM. Let’s take a detailed look at what the Oppo R15 Pro offers to the consumers and if it is worth the price of Rs 25,990.

Oppo R15 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Oppo R15 Pro comes packed with a big 6.28-inch Full HD+ OLED display with screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels paired with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and screen to body ratio of 89%. In comparison, the V11 Pro offers slightly better specs. The V11 Pro sports a 6.41-inch ‘Super AMOLED’ display with screen resolution of 2340x1080pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and screen to body ratio of 91.27%. On the hardware front the Oppo and Vivo phones are at par.

The Oppo R15 Pro is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available in only one variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. On the software front, the Oppo R15 Pro has been launched running on Android 8.0 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0.

On the camera front, the Oppo R15 Pro includes dual cameras on the back panel and single on the front. On the rear panel, the phone consists of a 20MP primary sensor and 16MP secondary sensor. Both the cameras come with f/1.7 aperture. On the front, the Oppo R15 Pro includes a 20MP sensor for clicking selfies. The selfie camera, the company says, comes paired with AI Beauty Technology 2.0 which basically hides the blemishes of the face and clicks a beautiful looking picture.

Commenting on the launch of the Oppo R15 Pro in India Will Yang, Brand Director, Oppo India says, “We launched the R-series in India due to the excessive demand for new and ground-breaking technology by our consumers. We are extremely delighted to announce the launch of OPPO R15 Pro in the Indian market exclusively on Amazon.in with its latest technologies which will give the users a bigger and better view.”

The phone also comes paired with several connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Micro USB 2.0 and more. The phone includes a face unlock support as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In comparison, the Vivo V11 Pro comes packed with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Oppo R15 Pro is backed by a 3430mAh battery paired with VOOC Flash Charge support which Oppo claims can offer two hours of talk time on a charge of five minutes.
