Rest of the specifications of the OnePlus 5 are similar to the global variant. It features the dual camera setup at the back, comprising a primary 16MP sensor for regular RGB shots, and a 20MP telephoto lens for 2x zoomed images. The camera also comes with a Portrait mode, which is still in the nascent stages. The smartphone also has a 16MP front-facing camera, same as the OnePlus 3T.

The OnePlus 5 has the powerful hardware in any smartphone now. Although it uses the same 5.5-inch Full HD display, the internals are upgraded to compete with the 2017 flagship phones. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU on top. It also has a 6GB and 8GB of RAM along with 64GB, 128GB storage respectively.

OnePlus is betting big on the user experience of the OnePlus 5. The phone runs OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and the company has added some nifty features such as reading mode, extended screenshot, three finger drag screenshot, etc. All these features will make their way to the OnePlus 3 and 3T with a software update.

There are connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE. The OnePlus 5 is the only smartphone which supports all the 34 network bands across the globe. There's NFC support as well.

Lastly, the battery of the OnePlus 5 is decreased to 3300mAh, compared to the 3400mAh seen on the OnePlus 3T. And yes, it has Dash Charge support as well, which delivers a complete day of battery life with a 30-minute charge.
