The OnePlus 5 is now official with the top of the line hardware, dual camera system, near-stock Android software, along with an affordable price tag. Moments after the flagship device was announced, Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 5 is the company's 'fastest selling device ever.'

For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 5 is already up for pre-order in some countries such as the US and Europe for $479 and 499 Euro. OnePlus will start shipping the device on June 27. Carl Pei might have revealed the info based on the pre-orders received by them in both the countries. However, he did not reveal the pre-order numbers though, which is expected.

But the fans have been waiting for the phone to arrive from a long time and now that it's official, they're looking to grab the phone at the earliest. Also, lucky customers can get their hands on the phone at the pop-up events OnePlus is conducting in various countries across the globe.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 5 is the premium OnePlus smartphone till date, but if you consider the hardware to price ratio, the device is way better than the other flagship phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11, Google Pixel, and LG G6. And yes, there might be some users who are looking for an affordable iPhone 7 Plus because the phone features an iPhone-esque design language from the rear.

The OnePlus 5 will be officially launched in India on tomorrow and will be up for sale immediately after the launch. OnePlus is holding four pop-up events across India in Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The rumoured pricing for the device in India is Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM variant and Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM option.

The smartphone uses the same 5.5-inch display as the OnePlus 3T with the same 1080p resolution. It's powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB/8GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, Adreno 540 GPU, 16MP+20MP dual cameras, 16MP front-facing camera, Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS, and 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support.
