OnePlus Starts Seeding OxygenOS 9.0.6 Update to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T

After the launch of the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro, the latest flagship phones from the Chinese manufacturer in the market, OnePlus has also released a bunch of updates with the new features for the users of its previous gen phones. In the latest development, OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T have started receiving the OxygenOS 9.0.6 update. There are some important things which this new OxygenOS update ships to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users and these include the May 2019 Security Patch. The update also brings the quick pairing functionality for

the Bullets Wireless 2 headphones to these devices. It is worth noting that only a few days back, both of these devices had received the OxygenOS 9.0.5 update that had brought the April 2019 Security Patch onboard these devices. This new update, similar to the previous ones, is being rolled out to OnePlus 5 and 5T owners in a phased manner.

OxygenOS 9.0.6 Update Details and Features

The rollout for the OxygenOS 9.0.6 for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T has already started. OnePlus has posted about this new update in an official OnePlus forum post. The forum post is also accompanied with the changelog of this update which reveals that it packages the May 2019 Android Security Patch. In addition to this security improvement, there are also some bug fixes and general improvements.

Talking about the new features which the OxygenOS

9.0.6 update brings to the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T phones, the company has revealed that this update will bring the quick pairing functionality for the Bullets Wireless 2 headphones. There was also an existing issue with automatic answering while the devices were connected with the headset, and this new update brings a resolution for the glitch.

How to Check for Latest OxygenOS on OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T

In case you are a OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T user, and you would like to see whether or not you will be receiving the update anytime soon, you can go to Settings and then go to System to navigate to the System Updates section and tapping on Check for Updates. The new OxygenOS also comes with a feedback system integrated into the OS, which will easily allow you to send bug reports, product suggestions and feedback requests seamlessly.

To recall, it was back in April when OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T had received the OxygenOS 9.0.5 update which brought the April 2019 Android Security Patch. This update has also brought some general bug fixes and improvements to the phones. Apart from this, last week OnePlus had released the OxygenOS 9.0.6 for OnePlus 6 and the OxygenOS 9.0.14 for the OnePlus 6T that brought the same features like the update mentioned above including the May 2019 Security Patch, quick pairing support for Bullets 2 Wireless headphones and general bug fixes.
