OnePlus has now rolled out a new OxygenOS Open Beta builds to four of its smartphones released in the last couple of years. The OnePlus 3 and 3T are now receiving OxygenOS Open Beta 34 and Open Beta 25 versions, while the OnePlus 5 and 5T are receiving the Open Beta 6 and Open Beta 8 versions. The changelog is pretty much similar to both the phones, but the company has added some new features to the OnePlus 5 and 5T. The new versions bring the April 2018 security patch fixes, all-new membership card in Shelf, and changes to the OnePlus Clock application such as the alarm background colour and new user interface to the stopwatch.

For the OnePlus 5 and 5T users, there's a new Earphone mode which adds features such as Autoplay mode that plays paused music when connected to earphones. OnePlus also added notification ringtone options and broadcast caller information feature which announces caller information when using earphones.

Just yesterday, we reported that OnePlus pulled back the previous OxygenOS Open Beta builds due to a serious battery drain issue reported by several users. However, OnePlus denied the rollback and stated that the beta was removed as part of the company's switch to new domain Oneplus.com. Yes, you heard it right. OnePlus finally managed to acquire the Oneplus.com domain and made a transition to the new domain from oneplus.net.

Having said that, the beta builds are now back, but with new features and updated build numbers. If you're already on the OxygenOS Open Beta program, you'll receive an OTA update. If you want to install the Open Beta update, you have to do that manually by downloading the complete ROM file and installing it over Recovery.

OnePlus will add the features to the stable builds of OxygenOS in the future updates, but for now, users have to install the Open Beta ROM to get these.
