The latest flagship from OnePlus, the OnePlus 7 Pro launched last week and has managed to garner significant traction from the Indian public. The phone has received rave reviews from everyone regarding its performance, the hardware it packs, the latest OxygenOS and even the design and display. However, there is one thing about the OnePlus 7 Pro which has possibly disappointed a lot of users, and that is the camera. On the OnePlus forum, the company has witnessed a lot of users complaining about issues like unnatural smooth beauty effect from the front camera, lack of detail and smudgy areas in a telephoto image, and lack of colour and contrast in pictures. To this, OnePlus has responded by saying that it would soon push an update bringing improvements to the camera module.

New OnePlus 7 Pro Update to Come in a Week

OnePlus has officially said that it would be seeding an update for OnePlus 7 Pro which would bring significant improvements to the camera of the device. It would also bring the HDR and Nightscape 2.0 mode tweaks onboard the device. In reply to a OnePlus forum post, Jimmy Z, OxygenOS product manager said that the new update would be coming to the OnePlus devices in a week or so. The executive has also noted that the photos taken for the testing of these new improvements are substantially better than the photos on the previous version. He also added that more tweaks are currently in the pipeline, which will require a little more time for testing. These tweaks would arrive in future updates.

OnePlus Asks Users to Share Constructive Criticism and More Images

In his reply to the OnePlus forum post, Jimmy Z has also requested the users to send constructive criticism so that the camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro can be improved. He has also asked the users to share images shot from OnePlus 7 Pro and better cameras for comparison. The exec's post read, "The camera team have been working all the time on analysing and fixing issues. Every system update contains code from camera of improving the camera quality. I believe some of you receive an update when you got your OnePlus 7 Pro. That's a significant update for camera, and I think you don't want to miss it. Moreover, we are working on the next update, which is going to be rolled out in a week or so."

It is worth noting that while on one side, the camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro is being criticised, in the other departments, OnePlus 7 Pro is getting all the hype. Owing to the latest features which OxygenOS comes with and the impressive hardware like the 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 855 SoC the OnePlus 7 Pro has been praised a lot.
