OnePlus 5T Lava Red Special Edition With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage Launched at Rs 37,999 in India

Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus today announced the OnePlus 5T Lava Red Special Edition variant in India. Priced at Rs 37,999, this limited edition Lava Red variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, same as the OnePlus 5T Midnight Black version and Star Wars Limited Edition version. This new colour variant will be up for sale on Amazon and Oneplusstore.in from January 20, 2018. Interested customers can pick up the device at 12 PM on the said date.

The OnePlus 5T was initially launched in mid-November. Since then, the company launched two limited edition versions of the same smartphone, which includes the Star Wars Edition and Lava Red Limited Edition. The Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T was launched at Rs 38,999 in the country, but thankfully, the Lava Red variant costs Rs 37,999.

Talking about Lava Red colour option of the OnePlus 5T, it has a red coloured back and a black bezel on the front. The alert slider, volume rockers are in the red colour itself. Launch offers on Amazon India include a 1008GB of free 4G data from Idea Cellular, Rs 250 cashback on Amazon Pay, and free 12 months damage insurance by Servify.

Rest of the specs are similar to the standard OnePlus 5T itself. The device is powered by top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, clubbed to 8GB of RAM. The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display. The device boots Android Nougat based OxygenOS 4.7 but is soon slated to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update.

The highlight of the phone is the Face Unlock feature. It has two cameras at the back- a 16MP RGB primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture is coupled with a 20MP secondary low-light sensor with f/1.7 aperture. There's a 16MP selfie shooter too. A 3300mAh battery backs the entire package. The OnePlus 5T is also claimed to be one of the highest rated smartphones on Amazon India with a rating of 4.7.
