To recall, OnePlus rolled out Android 9 Pie-based Open Beta update to both the smartphones just two weeks back. Yesterday, it released a bug fixing Open Beta update to both the phones alongside rolling out the stable build. Post the update, the OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones will be pushed to OxygenOS 9.0.0 version- in-line with Android 9 version number. As noted, the update is rolled out in batches, so there are fewer chances of everyone getting it right now.

How to Install Stable Android 9 Pie on OnePlus 5, 5T?
Moving onto the most important aspect: How can you get the update right away? Aforesaid, the OxygenOS 9.0.0 update has been pushed to the OnePlus 5 and 5T users in batches and OnePlus says "As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we'll begin a broader rollout in a few days." At the moment, it's unknown which countries will receive the update so that we can detail you the VPN process.
However, you can install any VPN application from the Google Play Store and connect to either Germany or Canada VPN. After connecting, head over to the System Updates section and check if there's an update. If yes, download it and install following the on-screen instructions.
Having said that, the OxygenOS 9.0.0 is a stable release, meaning if you're on the stable build, then you'll get the update first. If you're on the Open Beta programme, chances are you must've received the update last week itself.
