India has gone on to become one of the most important markets for OnePlus and the Chinese startup has just launched its much awaited 10,000 mAh power bank in India for Rs 1,399. The same was expected to be made available by last week of April in the country but it got delayed to the second week of May.

But then, it's better late then never. The 10,000 mAh power bank comes with lithium-polymer batteries and weighs 220 grams. It takes about 5.5 hours to charge completely. It brings two USB ports with it which have a power output of  5V-2A.

OnePlus has taken care to load it with safety features in order to prevent overheating and overcharging. It has battery indicator LEDs which can be woken up with a slight shake. The power bank will available exclusively through Amazon.in. It will be available in silky white and sandstone black colour options.

The importance of power banks is on the rise these days and the fact that they offer a lot of mobility has been the prime reason for the success of the category. Huawei recently launched its AP007 13,000 mAh power bank in the country for Rs 1,399. Xiaomi's 10,400 mAh power bank which retails for Rs 999 was the one that started the trend of portable power banks.

It will be interesting to see as to which one out of the three manages to grab the maximum attention from customers. OnePlus had earlier announced that the bamboo covers for the OnePlus One will be launched with the power bank but they'll now be launched towards the end of May.
