HMD Global hasn't been that aggressive so far in 2019, but we might see new launches from the company in the second half of the year. Today, a mysterious Nokia smartphone with circular rear camera setup has surfaced online in live photos. At the moment, it's unknown what HMD Global is going to call this leaked Nokia smartphone, but the codename of the handset is 'daredevil.' Besides the circular camera system that can be found the rear, the upcoming Nokia phone boasts of a glass back, teardrop notch display with Nokia brand on the chin, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and one of the camera sensor will be a 48MP unit.

Leaked Nokia Device to Have Dual Rear Cameras

As you can clearly see from the images leaked by Weibo user fenibook, this upcoming Nokia phone will have dual rear cameras, but there are a total of four holes on the back inside the Circular ring; There are two cameras sensors and a LED flash, but there's no third sensor which is clearly visible in the leaked images. Maybe, HMD Global is still working on the smartphone and the final product isn't just ready.

The images also suggest the Nokia phone will have a glass back and the curved edges are pretty much identical to the Nokia 8.1 that was launched at the end of 2018. There's a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner too.

Talking about the front side of the leaked Nokia phone, it seems to have a display bigger than 6-inches accompanied by a teardrop notch on top. The phone will bear TA-1198 model number and comes powered Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, reveals the About Phone section. Like the other mid-range Nokia phones, this device also has a USB Type-C port and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

HMD Global launched several smartphones this year with a dedicated hardware button for triggering Google Assistant and it will continue with this upcoming Nokia smartphone too.

As for the cameras, the Weibo user posted an image showing different camera megapixel modes which displays a 48MP mode too. So clearly, the upcoming Nokia phone will offer a 48MP rear camera like other devices launching in recent times. Also, the secondary sensor seems to have a telephoto lens as revealed by the camera interface image.
