MTNL TO COMMERCIALLY LAUNCH 3G SERVICES FROM FEB 5.

It seems the wait for 3G in India is finally over at least for the people of Delhi.For the first time in India 3G Mobile and Data services will be commercially available from Feb 5 via State operator Mahangar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL).

According to the announcement by MTNL, initially the 3G Mobile and Data services will be available in selected areas of New Delhi as below-:

  • New Delhi Municipal Corporation area
  • Connaught Place
  • Sanchar Bhawan
  • Rajaji Marg
  • India Gate
  • Pragati Maidan
  • Delhi Gate
  • Minto Road

Gradually the 3G services will be extended all the way to Gurgaon.The company is alo planning to offer 3G services under Rs1000 a month.Known as MTNL 3G Jadoo is capable of offering advanced services such as video calls,broadband wireless data,faster online video streaming and a better gaming experience and its data transfer rate reach up to 2Mbps.Apart from Delhi,MTNL will also start 3G services in Mumbai very shortly.
