MTNL PARTNERS WITH DELL TO SALE 3G DATA CARDIndia’s first 3G Mobile service operator, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), has announced it's partnership with leading Laptop makers 'DELL' to offer 3G Wireless Broadband service on Dell’s select range of laptops and netbooks. With this partnership MTNL 3G Data card, with its prepaid 3G GSM Wireless Broadband connections, would be available through Dell’s distribution channels and in Mumbai and Delhi very soon.

MTNL’s 3.5G wireless Broandband solution includes an embedded 3G Ericsson module (Data Card) with GPS, and MTNL 3G SIM Kit on Dell’s select range of laptops and netbooks, plus a 3.5G Pre-paid mobile broadband data package with National Roaming facility from MTNL.




The Dell Laptop bundle with MTNL 3G Data Card, starts from an estimated price

point of Rs 30,000 and will be offered on Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 netbook, with other models available as soon as possible.

MTNL 3G’s 'always-on'  HSPA Wireless Broadband connection supports interactive services including High-speed Internet access (HSPA) with super fast download speeds up to 3.6Mbps, the fastest commercially available speed in India on any Wireless module.

R S P Sinha, CMD of MTNL said, “By making the Internet easier to access and easier to afford, this partnership will fast-track the growth of India’s online population while opening up new business frontiers in content development and e-commerce.”

“This partnership is in line with Dell’s objective to provide complete ‘Computing On The Go’ solution to its customers,” said Mahesh Bhalla, Director and General Manager of consumer sales, Dell India.
