MTNL LAUNCHES REMOTE EMAIL ACCESS SERVICE FOR GSM MOBILE AND LANDLINE USERS

MTNL LAUNCHES REMOTE EMAIL ACCESS SERVICEThe leading telecom service provider Mahangar Telephone Nigam Ltd. (MTNL) today announced the launch of  Mobile Voice Remote Email Access service for its GSM Mobile and Landline subscribers.With this service MTNL users can listen their Email anytime, anywhere.

The new Value added service branded as MobileVoice Remote Email Access is initially available for MTNL Delhi’s GSM Mobile service Dolphin along with prepaid Trump and also for MTNL Landline customers and its will be available shortly throughout Mumbai telecom circle.

One Voice’s MobileVoice Remote Email Access service is provided by One Voice Technologies, the developer of 4G voice solutions for the Telecom and Interactive Multimedia markets which allows MTNL subscribers to read and send email from their home.

MobileVoice Remote Email Access works with the most popular email providers including Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL and BolMail along with POP3 and IMAP corporate email access.MTNL One Voice’s MobileVoice Remote Email Access service come for a fixed price of Rs. 50/- per month plus service tax (as applicable) for unlimited usage, anytime, anywhere.

To sign-up,one has to text “SUB <EmailAddress> <EmailPassword>” to 51290 for immediate activation. for example Example:  SUB [email protected] 546789. MTNL landline customers can sign-up by simply calling MTNL customer service at 1500 or by visiting any MTNL Sanchar Haat location of Delhi telecom circle.

This service by MTNL was a flop, and god knows how much MTNL /its partners lost in launch of this service.

Who will listen to messages, and that too at the cost of 50 Rs a month. and appart from this u have to pay for the call to listen.
