MTNL Crosses 7,00,000 Active 3G Data Subscriber Mark

India's first 3G mobile service operator and leading GSM Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) said that its has crossed the landmark of 7,00,000 "active 3G subscribers" in Mumbai and Delhi.

The company is also targeting a four-fold jump in its active 3G users base through full fledged up-gradation of its 3G UMTS/HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) network to HSPA+ to provide more speed and better coverage across all the corner of Mumbai and Delhi circles.




In Mumbai and Delhi MTNL has total 54,90,222 mobile GSM subscribers (as on Jan'2012) and providing 3G services (Voice/Video/Data) to all users by defaults without any extra charges. Out of these subscribers more than 7,00,000 subscribers are "active 3G Data subscribers" who are using or subscribing any of Limited or Unlimited 3G Data Plans starting from Rs.99 per month.
