Motorola is yet to confirm its presence for the MWC 2018 event, but several Moto phones have started receiving necessary certifications. And one among them is the Moto E5 smartphone. Today, the Moto E5 with model numbers- XT1922, XT1924 and XT1944 received Bluetooth certification, hinting at imminent launch. Motorola is expected to release the smartphone with a different model number in different regions. The smartphone was earlier spotted at the US certification site FCC, which revealed that it would come with a 4000mAh battery.

Motorola will release the Moto E5 and E5 Plus smartphones this year. We don't have much information about the Moto E5 Plus at the moment, but it is rumoured that Motorola will not launch it alongside the Moto E5. Also, the Bluetooth SIG page reveals the design description of the Moto E5 as 'Qualcomm BT Host SW,' meaning the phone may arrive Snapdragon SoC inside. The Moto E5 already received Wi-Fi certification.

Last year, Motorola disappointed everyone by opting MediaTek chipsets to power the Moto E4 series but seems like the company is going with Snapdragon variants this year. But the chipset is unknown at the moment. Motorola should at least use Snapdragon 435 SoC on the smartphones.

Besides this leak, we don't have much information on the Moto E5 as well. But recently, few renders of the Moto E5 and several other upcoming Motorola products were leaked online including the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6, etc.

The Moto E5 doesn't come with the trendy bezel-less design, and it will retain the old-school Motorola design with bezels on the top and bottom. However, the chin of the phone doesn't house the fingerprint scanner like last year, instead, it will have the Motorola logo.

And guess what, the fingerprint scanner is moved to the rear and said to be included in the Moto dimple, below the rear camera module. Speaking of the rear camera, the render shows a single camera and LED flash module inside a Saturn ring. Also, the front camera will come accompanied by an LED flash.

As stated, Motorola is yet to send out media invites confirming its presence at the MWC 2018. Last year, it released the Moto G5 and G5 Plus at the event, and this year, it is said to launch both the Moto G6 and Moto E5 lineup at the event. However, there is no confirmation from Motorola yet. Also, there's a possibility that the Moto E5 and E5 Plus will not launch at the event because the Moto E4 and E4 Plus arrived in late Q2 2017.
