Earlier this month, Motorola released its ultra-budget Moto C and the Moto C Plus carrying a price tag of around $100 (approx. Rs. 6,490). At the launch, the company did not reveal the availability of the phones and launch date in other countries as well.n

An Indian website, Techupdate3 managed to obtain the retail box images of the Moto C, which might be sold in India starting next month. The report says that Motorola will be entering the offline market with the Moto C. The phone will come with an MRP price of Rs. 6,999, but it will be sold via all the offline channels across the country for Rs. 6,499. But the publication did not reveal the exact shipping date though.

Motorola's decision to foray into the offline is not at all a surprising move because of brands such as Oppo, Vivo, and Gionee and doing considerably well in the same segment. Furthermore, Xiaomi has also entered the offline market in recent times with the launch of its Mi Home in Bengaluru.

However, the speculated pricing seems to be on the higher note, especially for the specifications the device carry. The Moto C is the smaller variant of the two phones and comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x 854 pixels.

At the heart of the phone is the entry-level 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M chipset, clubbed with just 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Moto C also features a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.

This dual-SIM smartphone boots Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, which is the only highlight of the phone. Camera wise, the Moto C has a 5MP rear camera with support for LED flash, and a 2MP front-facing camera which also comes with a LED flash support.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB OTG. The smartphone is backed by a small 2350mAh battery, and it weighs 154 grams, measures 9mm in thickness. As of now, there are no details about the Moto C Plus launch in India.
