MIUI 10 Stable Update for Poco F1 Starts Rolling Out

Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has been teasing that the Poco F1 will be upgraded to MIUI 10 by the end of this week. And here it goes. All Poco F1 users in India will receive MIUI 10 update starting today, the company has announced on Twitter. Earlier this week, Poco also confirmed the Poco F1 would receive Android 9 Pie update by the end of this year. The Poco F1 was launched back in the month of August this year with Android 8.1 Oreo, with MIUI 9.6 on top. At the launch of the phone, Xiaomi had said that the Poco phone would be upgraded to MIUI 10 very soon. And that's what is happening.

General Manager of Poco India, C Manmohan took to Twitter to announce the rollout of MIUI 10 for Poco phone users in India. "POCO fans! #DiwaliwithMi just keeps getting better. We have started rolling out MIUI 10 stable for #POCOF1 to all users. It's time to update!" the post stated.

MIUI 10 Features

Well, Xiaomi is yet to reveal the updates that will come to Poco F1 with the MIUI update. Announced earlier this year, the MIUI 10 comes with several new features like new gestures, Android P like volume slider and notifications, PIP mode, AI features and more. We expect all these features to come to the Poco F1 users in India with MIUI 10. The Poco phone users, as reports claim, are also said to get dark mode on the app drawer and other improvements like Widevine L1 -- which will let users stream HD videos, 4K 60fps video recording capability and fix for the "OK Google" issue.

In addition to all this, the MIUI 10 is also said to bring a fix to the Asphalt 8 and 9 not appearing on Google Play Store and PUBG Mobile content being covered by the notch issues.

MIUI 10 on Poco F1: How to Upgrade

All Poco F1 users will get upgraded to MIUI 10. But the rollout is expected to happen in a phased manner. This means, if you are a Poco F1 users and still haven't got the update, you might need to wait for a few more days. Ensure to connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network and create a back up to all your data before installing the update.

Xiaomi Discounts Poco F1 Massively for the First Time

In other news, the Poco F1 will be available at a discounted price during the Big Diwali sale days starting November 1. The Poco F1's 6GB+128GB variant will retail for Rs 21,999, whereas the 8GB+256GB variant comes down to Rs 26,999. The Armoured Edition of the Poco F1 goes for Rs 27,999 during the sale days.
