Micromax has come up with another smartphone under the label of its very own “Doodle” series, named as Doodle 4. The company had started teasing the device on Twitter recently and today, a Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has leaked the complete specs of the device. In a recent update, the device was listed on eBay for a short time, at a price of Rs. 9,199, although the listing has ended now.
The eBay listing has caused many confusions about the device, so now going in accordance with the information leaked by Mahesh Telecom, the phone will feature a metallic finish and will come for a original price Rs. 9,499 (MRP Rs. 9,999). The predecessor of Doodle 4, Doodle 3 was unveiled in April 2014, for a price of Rs. 8,500
The initial teaser image (above) that has been released by Micromax was a drawing of an airplane with a slogan ‘It all starts with a doodle’. The company has been actively sharing various doodles on its Twitter account lately, along with many competitions, all of which is more of base building for the imminent launch of Doodle 4.
As per the leaked specifications, the Canvas Doodle 4 features a 6-inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, along with a 2-megapixel front camera. There is 8GB of internal storage on-board (no information about it being expandable or not). It will support connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and will be backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
