Xiaomi Launches Mi Air Purifier 2C at Rs 6,499 With Air Quality Indicator, HEPA Filter and More

Xiaomi held its biggest event of the year today in New Delhi, and as you would expect, the OEM made some pretty big announcements in this event. The main highlight of today’s Xiaomi event was, of course, the launch of the Redmi Note 8 Pro, which a lot of the fans had been waiting for. Besides this, Xiaomi also introduced the MIUI 11 in India with today’s launch event, which is another big upgrade for the Xiaomi users. However, Xiaomi is known to bring lots of surprises for its fans and the tech enthusiasts whenever the brand’s global VP climbs on to the stage to announce something. Well, this time around also, Xiaomi had a couple of new announcements up its sleeve to share with the people and the most interesting of them all was the Mi Air Purified 2C. Mi Air Purifier 2C Details

To recall, Xiaomi has already launched two Air Purifiers in India and the first in this series was the Mi Air Purifier 2 which was launched back in 2016. Reiterating the series, Xiaomi then launched the Mi Air Purifier 2S in 2018. This time around, in today’s event, Xiaomi has launched the Mi Air Purifier 2C in India. As for the features of the Mi Air Purifier 2C, Xiaomi has detailed that this device comes with Dual Filtration technology, True HEPA filter which would help it in filtering 99.7% indoor pollution. The Air Purifier 2C also offers 360-degree air suction, CADR of 350-metre cube per hour, comes with a real-time air quality indicator and DIY filter change as well.

Mi Air Purifier 2C Pricing and Availability

As for the pricing and availability of the Mi Purifier 2C, Xiaomi has announced that this product would be available with a price tag of Rs 6,499. Xiaomi also announced that the Mi Purifier 2C would be available starting today at 4 PM from the official mi.com store and starting 12 noon on Amazon India on October 18, 2019. The Mi Air Purifier 2C was also announced to be available soon across Mi partner stores as well.

It is also worth noting that while the Mi Air Purifier 2C has debuted in India, the other two older variants of the Mi Purifier, which include the Mi Purifier 2 and the Mi Purifier 2S also retail on Amazon India. The Mi Purifier 2 is available online for Rs 7,299. As for the features of this 2016 model, it comes with a HEPA filter as well air quality indicator, where it falls short is CADR, which is only of 310-metre cube per hour.

How Does the Mi Air Purifier 2C Differ From Older Variants

There is also the Mi Purifier 2S to look out for if you are thinking of buying an air purifier from Xiaomi. The Mi Air Purifier 2S retails for Rs 7,999 which is slightly more than the older variant. There is also a version which comes with Echo Dot support giving hands-free control which retails for Rs 10,298. As for the features of this air purifier, the Amazon page for the product details that it comes with an OLED display which shows the air quality and other details. This purifier, like its older variant, offers 310m³ PM/hr CADR and it comes with 3 different modes to choose from which include Auto, Night and Manual. Overall, the Mi Air Purifier 2C, which is the latest launch from Xiaomi is the most affordable of the all Air Purifiers available from Xiaomi and also offers more CADR which means it will clean more hour per hour.
