Lenovo Z5 Pro: Specifications and Features

The new Lenovo Z5 Pro sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels or a Full HD+ resolution. The screen features a DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage with the highest brightness of 600 nits along with HDR10 compliance. Although on a first look, the slider mechanism on this phone seems similar to the one found on Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and the Honor Magic 2, the slider on the Z5 Pro works on a six-position guiding structure. The company claims that the slider mechanism on this phone has been tested over 300,000 times thus proving the durability of this device. Lenovo has also fit in an in-display optical fingerprint sensor on this phone and has asserted that the device capable of the highest recognition rate of 99.92% and it detects fingerprints extremely quickly in just 0.2 seconds. Additionally, the Lenovo Z5 Pro also comes with IR face unlock.

Even though the Z5 Pro is the flagship phone by Lenovo, it might be left behind other slider phones when it comes to performance. The Lenovo Z5 Pro packs the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 which runs on the 10nm architecture and brings on substantial improvement over the Snapdragon 636 which powered the predecessor, the Lenovo Z5. The Lenovo Z5 Pro will debut in the variants of 6GB/64GB storage and 6GB/128GB storage. The phone will also allow for expansion up to 256GB via a microSD card.

On the camera and imaging front, the Lenovo Z5 Pro comes with a dual camera setup on the rear side which consists of 24MP + 16MP sensors. The primary sensor on this phone is the 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor which pairs with the 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor which comes with f/1.8 aperture 6P Largan lens. There is also no dearth of AI-based features on this phone. On the front, the phone sports a 16MP + 8MP dual setup for selfies. The phone also does not disappoint when it comes to audio experience since it sports the Dolby Atmos support for speakers.

The connectivity options on the Lenovo Z5 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, BeiDou, NFC, USB Type-C port, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE. The thing to note here is that the Lenovo Z5 does not come with a headphone jack. On the battery front, the phone packs a unit of 3350mAh capacity. For software, the phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZUI 10 out of the box which ships a lot of improvements over the predecessor. However, with Android 9 Pie already out, there is going to be a demand for the latest operating system on this device, given that it is a flagship offering by Lenovo.

Lenovo Z5 Pro: Pricing and Availability

Currently, the Lenovo Z5 Pro retails with a price tag of 1,998 yuan (Rs 21,200 approximately) for the entry-level variant of 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
