Lenovo Vibe K5 to go on open sale from July 4

Lenovo has announced that its latest Vibe K5 smartphone will be sold without registration in India (open sale) on Amazon India from July 4. Since mid-June, Lenovo Vibe K5 was sold via the flash sale. The company conducted two flash sales for the smartphone till date and is said to have made an impressive sale of 100,000 units, with 48,500 units sold in the sale held last week. In the announcement, the company has said that it has ramped up its production to meet the surge in consumer demand.

To recall the specifications of Lenovo Vibe K5, this dual micro SIM smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display of 720 x 1280p. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 Octa-core 1.4GHz processor and Adreno 405 (up to 550MHz 3D graphics accelerator or up to 465MHz) GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a 16GB eMCP storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

In terms of camera, Lenovo Vibe K5 boasts of a 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash in the rear and a 5MP fixed-focus camera in the front. There are various connectivity options incorporated in the smartphone, including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, FM, 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz), 3G (850/900/1900/2100 MHz), and 4G (LTE TDD Band 38/40/41(1MHz bandwidth)FDD Band 1/3/5/7/8/20). Sensors on the phone include gravitation, proximity, light, E-Compass, and gyro. A 2750mAh battery completes the package.

Lenovo Vibe K5 was first launched in MWC 2016 alongside the Vibe K5 Plus. Later, it was shipped to India in March with a price tag of Rs. 8499. There are three color options to choose from, including Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold, and Graphite Gray.
