JioFiber and Excitel are two of the top internet service providers (ISPs) in India. Both the companies are present in multiple cities of India and offer very competitive broadband plans. The rise in demand for fixed-line internet connection has increased since the time pandemic has set in. People rely more on their fiber internet connection than the mobile networks for working and learning from their homes. One of the biggest advantages of getting a fiber broadband connection today is high internet speed, unlimited data, and multiple devices, and people can connect with the same Wi-Fi network.

Both JioFiber and Excitel offer very closely priced broadband plans. If you are confused about which company’s plans you should go with, this might help you.

JioFiber and Excitel Competitive Broadband Plans

JioFiber and Excitel both offer same-priced 100 Mbps broadband plans to the users. Excitel offers truly unlimited data with its 100 Mbps plan, while JioFiber offers 3.3TB or 3,300GB data for the month, which is also not less. Neither of the companies bundles any over-the-top (OTT) benefits with the plan for the users.

But Excitel gets a lead from JioFiber when it comes to other broadband plans. JioFiber doesn’t offer a 200 Mbps broadband plan like Excitel. However, JioFiber users can get a 150 Mbps plan from the company for a monthly cost of Rs 999. In comparison, Excitel’s broadband plan offers 200 Mbps speed for a monthly cost of Rs 799 only.

It is worth noting that Airtel Xstream Fiber offers its 100 Mbps broadband plan for Rs 799 per month, which is much more expensive than what JioFiber and Excitel are offering to its users. Excitel’s 300 Mbps broadband plan costs only Rs 899 per month, while JioFiber’s 300 Mbps plan costs Rs 1,499 per month.

Both the companies bundle over-the-top (OTT) benefits for the users with their 300 Mbps plan. Excitel’s 300 Mbps plan is around Rs 600 cheaper than JioFiber’s 300 Mbps plan. However, JioFiber bundles 16 OTT benefits with the 300 Mbps plan, which is much more than what Excitel offers to its users.

JioFiber’s OTT benefits also include a free standard subscription of Netflix along with several other subscriptions of major platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, and more.

Both the companies offer their broadband plans for long-term validities. JioFiber offers additional days of services when users purchase long-term plans while Excitel offers a discount on the monthly rate of the plan when users go for long-term plans. Both the companies have their pros and cons; before choosing an operator, understand your needs and budget accordingly.
