Reliance Jio prepaid users are finally getting some attention from the company, after nearly four months. Jio last announced the Republic Day prepaid plans back at the end of January, since then it did not release any exciting offer for the prepaid users, instead focussed on Jio Postpaid and other activities such as IPL 2018 amongst others. The telco has now partnered with digital payments portal PhonePe and came up with an exciting offer which brings down the value of Rs 399 prepaid plan to Rs 299. Jio says that the Rs 399 plan is its prepaid recharge, maybe consumers prefer it the most. So Jio is offering Rs 100 instant discount (discount+cashback) on the Rs 399 recharge through MyJio application. Customers will get Rs 50 discount if they have the Rs 50 discount vouchers on the portal and the next Rs 50 discount comes as a cashback through PhonePe.

Do make a note that the recharges should be done through MyJio app itself. If you're still wondering what the fuss is all about, here's a simple explanation. Reliance Jio wants to offer Rs 100 discount on the Rs 399 plan, but the first catch is the offer is applicable only to the prepaid customers whose Jio account is filled with the Rs 50 vouchers. And the second one is the Rs 50 discount, which again comes as a cashback from PhonePe. So the effective price, if the customer successfully follows two steps will become Rs 299.

The Rs 399 Jio tariff plan gives 1.5GB data per day, which takes it to 126GB data for the entire validity period of 84 days. It also provides the user unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day for 84 days. So for three months, Jio is offering benefits at Rs 299, which brings the monthly price to Rs 100. Also, the per GB value becomes Rs 2.37 per GB.

The Mukesh Ambani-led telco says that it launched this offer because it is the holiday season and 'Jio wishes to make it easier for people to recharge on the go and make the most of these holidays.'

Furthermore, do make a note that the offer is valid only from June 1 to June 15, hence it's a limited period one. But going by Jio's track record for such offers in the past, the offer might get extended beyond the said deadline. What do you think of this new offer from Jio? Let us know by commenting below.
