WhatsApp, the ultra-popular IM app that's available on most of the smartphone platforms, has updated their iOS app to support some key features. After the latest update, the app now come with even more features that utilises Apple's unique 3D Touch technology for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, along with some other enhancements.
The newest version of WhatsApp now supports Peek and Pop feature. With 3D Touch feature, which can be accessed by firmly pressing the app icon, one can access important actions from any supported app. With Peek and Pop feature, images, videos, audio messages, and links can be previewed quickly by firmly pressing them. Moreover, the app now supports rich view for web links shared in the conversations, which means that you can see a feature image and some text from the webpage.
A lot of popular brands and developers have started integrating 3D Touch features for their iOS apps, and that's the difference between Android and iOS. Whenever Apple brings out a new feature for the iOS, all the popular apps start utilising the feature. On the other hand, Android developers start integrating new Android features after a year or so. I've personally experience this thing as I use both iOS and Android devices on a day-to-day basis. What do you think about this matter? Let your thoughts flow in the comments section.
