Apple iOS 8.4 Beta brings in bug fixes and an all new music player

Apple just released iOS 8.3 to the masses earlier this month, and it has now started seeding the beta version of the next update – iOS 8.4. The update is currently seeding to developers to help them with development of their apps and services, and other than the minor bug fixes, it brings with itself an overhauled music player, which was long due.

It seems that Apple might still now make use of its Beats Audio acquisition, as there is no sign of Beats service being integrated into the app as of, now but Apple may just be laying down the ground work before finally announcing the same. The ‘Music’ app has seen a major re-design – there is an all-new Mini Player that is present at the bottom of the screen when you are browsing your playlist.

An Up Next’ song queue functionality also makes its way to the app. You also get re-designed personalised playlists alongside high resolution artist images. You also get new quick play shortcuts with the update. You can further do a global search by clicking on the search button from anywhere in the music app.

The update is still in a testing phase, so by the time it comes out for the masses, more functionalities might be added in.
