Idea started registrations for its 4G service by offering 1GB 4G free data. The registration page on Idea website reveal that 4G service to be available in 126 cities across 8 circles of Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Punjab and Tamil Nadu.

Idea would launch 4G LTE service across 57 cities in Karnataka and 30 cities in Tamil Nadu. While other circles will have 4-10 cities with Idea 4G network. Idea has stated on its registration page that its 4G LTE services are about to go live shortly across these cities. We had earlier reported Idea 4G signal is already went live across these cities. Idea had previously announced its 4G will be available in 10 circles which included Maharashtra and North East, but was left out from the registration page indicating delay in 4G launch across these circles.
Airtel has recently expanded its 4G footprint to over 300 cities across India. With 126 cities across eight circles, Idea is now preparing for a massive launch of its 4G service . It is also worth note that Idea announced its 4G plans just 6 months ago and was able to build its 4G LTE network in a short span of time. Meanwhile Vodafone is also in race to launch its 4G service across select cities by December end.
