Idea Follows Airtel Tariff Hike in KeralaSoon after Airtel hiked its prepaid tariff Idea Cellular has also following its foot steps has hiked its prepaid tariff in the state of Kerala.

It seems all the biggies in the business are going to follow the foot steps of Airtel, the biggest conglomerate in this game. The recent hike has been supported by the others to maintain and prosper in the revenue generation.

The operators often complain that there has been inflation in price of everything in every aspect but mobile tariff has fallen drastically over this period. On the contrary the maintenance cost has gone up by folds. So thats why such a bold move.

Idea Cellular has now restructured their prepaid tariff, an example of which has been given here

Now under per sec tariff a flat I2I calls will be effective at 1.2p/s from previously 1p/s and to others it will cost 1.5p/s from 1.2p/s.
