Huawei Mate 10 Pro First Press Render Leaks Out; Confirmed to Feature F/1.6 Dual Rear Cameras

Published by

Huawei has already set the launch date for the Mate 10 series for October 16. The Chinese company already confirmed various details about the series such as Kirin 970 SoC, 18:9 display, and dual rear cameras. However, we haven’t seen any of the Mate 10 devices in real life nor renders. But that has changed today.

Evan Blass, the popular tipster posted an image of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro earlier today, which revealed the device in its full glory. Huawei is rumoured to release a total of four smartphones under the Mate 10 series- the standard Huawei Mate 10 codenamed as Alps, the Mate 10 Pro codenamed as Blanc, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite with a codename Rhone. The fourth variant is unknown at the moment, but several leaks claim it could be the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design with a codename Marcel.

Last year as well, Huawei released four smartphones in Mate 9 lineup, and this year also it’s going to be the same. For a long time, it was rumoured that Huawei Mate 10 lineup will feature an 18:9 display, in-line with several flagship smartphones released this year.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which got leaked today sports an 18:9 display, but the display size is yet to be revealed. The Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro will feature QHD+ panels, whereas the Mate 10 Lite might have a Full HD+ display because it will be the affordable Mate 10 smartphone.

At the back of the Mate 10 Pro, there’s the dual camera setup with its lens certified by Leica. The primary rear camera sensor comes with a f/1.6 aperture, same as the LG 30, meaning you will get some great low-light shots with the Mate 10 Pro.

Besides today’s render, Huawei already confirmed that the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro will be powered by the company’s HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, which features special AI features. Some rumours also pointed out that the devices will come with a Samsung Dex type accessory with which you can connect the device to a monitor.

The Mate 10 Pro is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and likely carries a 4000mAh battery. Huawei is expected to launch the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro at the October 16 event, along with the Mate 10 Porsche Edition. The affordable Mate 10 Lite will be released at a later date.
