Google publicly announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow in August earlier this year, and then released the final version of operating system in September with the launch of the Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X.
Now, Huawei has announced that it will rollout the latest and greatest version of Google's smartphone operating system to its Honor devices in India.
According to a tweet from the company's official Twitter account, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be released to five of its smartphones that in India. The update will rollout starting from February 2016, which is 5 months from the operating system's official launch. The Honor smartphones that will receive Android Marshmallow are:
- Honor 4C
- Honor 4X
- Honor 6
- Honor 6 Plus
- Honor 7

Right now, Nexus devices from the past two years – LG Nexus 5, Motorola Nexus 6, ASUS Nexus 7, and HTC Nexus 9 – have received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update along with three Android One devices – Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, and Spice Dream Uno – in India. LG has already started rolling out the Marshmallow update for the LG G4 in Poland. Moreover, the HTC One A9 was announced with Android 6.0 out of the box.
