Huawei has been present as a slightly premium maker of budget smartphones in India and has always priced its device over the Chinese and Indian counterparts. Huawei has today announced the launch of 3 smartphones in India which are expected to give the company a lot more sales in the higher end segments in the budget arena. Let us take a look at the specifications of the 3 smartphones:
Huawei Honor 3C (Rs 14,999)
The Huawei Honor 3C is a budget quad core smartphone and it will be up against a slew of budget quad core devices in the Rs 10,000-15,000 segment. Here are the specifications:
- 5-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels
- 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor
- Mali 400 GPU
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 on top of it which is Huawei's proprietary interface
- 2GB RAM
- 8GB internal storage, expandable by another 32GB with a microSD card
- 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a Sony BSI sensor so this 8MP snapper is going to be way better than that of the other Chinese smartphones. It gets coupled with 5MP front camera that has a 22mm wide angle lens and a 1.4um pixel sensor which again means that the front camera is going to be better than that of the competition.

Huawei Ascend G6 (Rs 16,999)
Huawei Ascend G6 has been announced for Rs 16,999 and it comes across as a device which more of a Moto G rival due to similarity in the spec sheet. It seems slightly overpriced to us and would have hit just the perfect spot at a slightly lower pricing. Let us take a look at its specifications:

- 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
- Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 lite on top of it

Huawei Ascend G750 ( Rs 24,999)
The Huawei Ascend G750 announces Huawei's entry into octa core arena in India. It comes with Mediatek's true octa core chip which has been performing pretty well in a slew of budget devices in the country. Let us take a look at the specifications of the device:
- 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which will support a multi-touch of up to 10 fingers
- 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6592 processor
- Mali450-MP4 GPU
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 on top of it
- 2GB RAM
- 8GB internal storage which can be expanded by another 32GB with a microSD card
- 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a Sony BSI sensor for good low light imaging coupled with a 5MP front camera which a 1.4 um sensor which allows more light into the sensor, thus aiding better front camera images

Our take: Huawei has done well to bring the 3 devices to the country which price tags which justify the spec sheet and the quality of the smartphones. The Huawei Honor 3C will be my pick of the lot followed by Huawei Ascend G750 and Huawei Ascend G6.
