HOOQ subscribers will now be able to use Chromecast to cast over 15,000 Hollywood and Bollywood movies and TV series from any connected device to the biggest screen in their homes – enjoying it right in their living rooms.

“We are very thrilled to bring the best in class entertainment from HOOQ to Chromecast users enabling them to enjoy the best content on their televisions right in their living rooms. We believe this partnership further solidifies our position as the country’s biggest premium video-on-demand service,” Ravi Vora, Chief Marketing Officer at HOOQ, said in a statement.

Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on TVs. Viewers can simply use an Android phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook to cast the HOOQ app and its programming onto a television. HOOQ, a start-up joint venture between Singtel, Sony Pictures Television and Warner Bros., is Asia’s biggest premium video-on-demand service. It started its video-on-demand service in India from June for Rs 199 a month.
