Honor View 20 Coming to India Soon: Here Are the Top Features of the Phone

Honor finally launched its View 20 smartphone with a punch hole display and 48MP rear camera setup in China. Soon after the launch of the phone, Honor India announced that the View 20 will be coming to sub-continent soon and will be available on Amazon exclusively. The View 20 is a phone that comes with all the latest technologies like in display selfie camera, a 48MP camera that sits on the rear panel, gradient finish design and so much more. In China, Honor has launched the View 20 in several colours including Charm Blue, Red, and Midnight Black. We expect all these variants to come to India as well.

The Honor View 20 has been made official in China for a starting price tag of CNY 2,999 – which roughly translates Rs 30,400. This price of the View 20 is for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. In China, the Honor View 20 has been launched in two variants – the base model with 6GB RAM/128GB storage which has been priced CNY 2,999, there’s also a second variant which comes with 8GB RAM/128GB storage that has been launched for CNY 3,499 which roughly translates to Rs 35,500.

In addition to the other four variants, Honor also launched a Moschcino Edition of Honor View 20. This model of the phone has been launched for a slightly higher price of CNY 3,999 (roughly translates to Rs 40,600). This Moschcino Edition of Honor View 20 offers more and come with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

Punch-Hole Selfie Camera

The View 20 is one of the first punch hole display phones that has been launched. The first punch hole display phone was from Samsung, it’s the Galaxy A8s and later it was followed by Huawei Nova 4. The Honor View 20 also follows the same front design language and have the selfie camera embedded inside the screen of the phone that comes with an aspect ratio of 19.25:9. The View 20 comes packed with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2310 pixels screen-to-body-ratio of 91.82%. On the front, inside the hole, there’s a 25MP camera with aperture f/2.0 and fixed focus for clicking selfies.

First Smartphone With 48MP Rear Camera

The Honor View 20 includes two cameras on the rear panel and one of the front. The main camera of the V20 includes a 48MP sensor, which is soon going to be a trend considering Xiaomi has also confirmed to launch a 48MP camera phone in January next year. The camera is one of the highlights of the newly launched Honor View 20. The phone includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor primary camera on the rear panel which comes paired with a f/1.8 aperture. Alongside the main camera, there’s a secondary 3D Time of Flight (ToF) camera that Honor says will let users click depth shots. The main camera of the View 20 also comes packed with several features like 960fps slow-motion video recording support, autofocus, AI HDR, and LED flash.

Kirin 980 SoC

The Honor View 20 is powered by Kirin 980 SoC, the 7nm chipset that features eight cores with a clock speed of up to 2.6GHz. The Honor phone comes in two variants – the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage while the secondary camera packs 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The storage space can’t be expanded further via microSD card. It's the first Honor phone to make use of the latest Kirin 980 chipset.

The V20 also comes packed with the second-generation GPU Turbo 2.0 technology, which the company says will boost the over performance and graphics during gaming sessions. The phone also includes a liquid cooling system which is dedicated to keep the phone cool during long gaming sessions.

Fast Charging

Yes, the Honor View 20 comes packed with fast charging support. The phone is backed by massive 4000mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge support. Honor claims that the fast charging tech can charge the phone up to 55% in just 30 minutes.
