Amsterdam-headquartered GlobalNet, a backbone Internet Service Provider (ISP), has announced the launch of its first Point of Presence (PoP) in the UK, located at Telehouse North in London. This expansion aims to boost the company's network coverage across Western Europe. The new London PoP, located at 14 Coriander Avenue, offers services including DATAIX, IP Transit, and Remote-IX, delivering connectivity solutions for customers in the region.

Dual-Route Redundancy
According to GlobalNet, the London site is equipped with dual-route redundancy linking London to Amsterdam and Frankfurt, providing low-latency connections to Amsterdam (5.5 milliseconds) and Frankfurt (7.67 milliseconds), ensuring fast and reliable network performance.
"The establishment of our London PoP, with dual-route redundancy, enhances our ability to provide stable and flexible network solutions to our customers," said Alex Surkoff, GlobalNet's Business Development Director. "This marks a significant milestone for GlobalNet/DATAIX, allowing us to establish a direct presence and cater more effectively to market's needs."
Expansion Across Central Europe
This launch follows GlobalNet's expansion across Central Europe, including new PoPs in Vienna and Zurich, as well as the completion of a fully protected, ring-based Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) network across the region.
