Samsung is expected to announce their next-in-line flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ at Mobile World Congress event in February. Ahead of the launch, a lot has already been leaked about the smartphones, including a number of alleged renders of the devices. Just recently, a live image of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ was spotted on the Chinese social media website, Weibo.

The live images show the back panels of both the Galaxy S9 and larger S9+ model. The image appears to confirm a couple of earlier leaks, revealing the Galaxy S9 will come with single camera setup on the rear. The S9+ device, on the other hand, will sport dual camera setup at the rear.

Similar to earlier renders, the new photo shows the fingerprint sensor has now been repositioned to feature below the camera setups. Another slight change is that the heart rate sensor has been moved to right side of the camera module. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ live image also confirmed a glass sandwich design for both devices.

Unfortunately, there have been no live images of the front panel of S9 and S9+. As per the earlier renders, the S9 flagships will feature Infinity Display at the front and won’t look much different than previous S8 iteration.

Samsung is said to have reduced the bezels much more, and such S9 will feature a screen to body ratio that will come close to 90 percent. The smaller S9 model will get a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. The S9+ will sport a larger 6.2-inch Infinity Display.

Although the base S9 model may not feature a dual-camera sensor on the rear, reports indicate both S9, S9+ will feature the dual-lens modules on the front. Some of earlier leaked renders revealed two camera sensor cutouts on the front glass panel.

As for the specs, Samsung’s 2018 flagships will pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipsets for U.S. and European markets. Other markets, like India, may have devices powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chipsets. The chipsets will be coupled with 4GB and 6GB RAM options and as well different storage options.

Pricing details of the upcoming devices haven’t been revealed as of yet. One thing is certain that Samsung will likely raise the launch prices of the S9, S9+. Stay tuned for more details which are expected to be revealed as the launch date nears.
