Huawei' sub-brand Honor recently launched the Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India. The device carries a price tag of Rs. 29,999 because it is aimed at competing with the OnePlus 5. The device is available exclusively on Amazon India.

The Honor 8 Pro's retail packaging also doubles as a VR box. Yes, you heard it right, Huawei's team has come up with an innovative idea, which removes the fuss of not purchasing a separate VR headset.

Huawei has added a massive 5.7-inch Quad HD display to the Honor 8 Pro. Offering a QHD display under Rs. 30,000 is a great move by the company. The display is vivid and offers punchy colours. However, the display is slightly reflective, which affects the viewing angles at times.
High-End Hardware and Android Nougat based EMUI
The smartphone is powered by Huawei's in-house HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset, paired with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU which handles the graphics. The Honor 8 Pro has a generous 6GB of RAM and also offers a whopping 128GB of internal storage.
The smartphone comes laden with Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI out-of-the-box. Unlike other flagship smartphones which pack a relatively smaller battery of around 3000mAh, the Honor 8 Pro has a beefy 4000mAh battery unit. Along with Huawei's software optimisations, the Honor 8 Pro last for two days on a single charge. With intensive usage, the handset will surely last for a single day with some juice left at the end of the day.
