India's pure-play CDMA voice and data service provider Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which operates under MTS brand has announced that it now added 31 new towns in Rajasthan circle with EVDO/HSD coverage. With this expansion MTS now has high speed data footprint in more than 90 towns across Rajasthan.
The new HSD coverage includes - Sojat, Chomu, Hindaun City, Dudu, Dausa, Sheogunj, Sumerpur, Mahuwa, Bhinmal, Chirawa, Khairthal, Ratangarh, Jalore, Balotra, Jaisalmer, Nimbahera, Badi Sadri, Shahpura-Bhilwara, Nokha, Sri Dungegarh, Sardarshahar, Baran, Kishangarh Bas, Rajgarh-Alwar, Nagar, Nagaur, Dhaulpur, Churu, Newai, Neem Ka Thana and Tonk.
MTS India, which confirmed its Indian operations after winning back spectrum in 8 circles, now has operations in total of 9 circles including Rajasthan with more than 350 cities with high speed data services using EVDO Rev A technology which is able to provide 3.1 Mbps downlink and 1.8 Mbps uplink. With the continuous expansion of HSD services MTS is very aggressive to tap the country's mobile broadband market.
In Rajasthan MTS is offering MBlaze dongle for Rs 1,199 with 10 GB HSD data for 30 days. There are several data plans from MTS as well Live TV and Video-on-demand services.
