Voda/idea & Airtel has to clear - how they will offer higher speeds to premium customers ?

According to me-

Voda/idea & Airtel will be at fault as they will be reducing speeds of regular 4g customers to dedicate exclusive spectrum /channel for premium customers , so that they get better experience then regular 4g customers , which will lead to deficiency in service for regular 4g customer. Don't think , trai will allow this.

Secondly - There is no way , that void & Airtel can guarantee certain minimum speeds at all locations . Speeds will vary with site traffic & distance . They will not be able to guarantee to trai that they will provide speeds above certain average 4g speeds to premium customers.

Court verdict may go in trai favour .

Both void & Airtel will be barred from advertising better speeds claim.

How ever - Void & Airtel are free to charge any premium charges to its customers as there is no capping on charges .

Both void & Airtel will be able to charge premium from customers for exclusive services like exclusive hotline for customer care , relationship managers for early resolution of services , priority at galleries, handset protection , free Netflix etc etc, but speed claims which is the strongest claim for charging premium will be stopped.

As a result , void & Airtel will not get much traction in gaining premium customers.

Impleadment means applying to Court for permission to join a case in which you are not a party.
Or request the Court for permission to add some other party which is necessary for the case.

Look how smartly airtel is sitting silent in this mess and did not file a case in tdsat. He has let void fight it alone with tdsat and jio . If the result is not in favour then it will just remove priority word from its plans and it will be difficult for it to convince customers to move on its postpaid plans but postive side is vil will go defunct and out ot business and automatically all high revenue postpaid customers will come to its neteork ....

If decision is in favour of vil then shop will run as usual. But airtel knew that there is no merit in this case hence it is sitting silent. Since it is matter of survival for vil hence they went ahead and filed the case.

TBH airtel wants vil to be out of game. Because even airtel needs money to survive now. They are loosing subsciber too. How long Mittal will keep bringing money and burning cash in the business.

It may be as simple as dedicating a band to postpaid

By dedicating one spectrum band exclusively to premium customers , means increasing load to other band. Shifting over 95% of traffic to single band . Automatically speeds will reduce for regular 4g customers & will lead to deficiency in service . Secondly, There will be congestion & coverage issues too. Trai will not allow this.

On a flight, We have economy , Business and first based on price of ticket, similar is this concept, They are reframing bands and adding new, so should not have the kind of impact you mentioned

For flight booking - it is very clear in advance , the class you are choosing. Hence you choose accordingly.

This is mid way in flight , where in there is a common class , void & Airtel asking customers to pay more for better class or you will have to suffer .

It will be a different case , if Airtel & void decide to buy new spectrum from government & dedicate the same for exclusive post paid services.

They will declare in advance & will not affect existing regular customer base . There will be no problems.
