BSNL Drops Rs 499 Bharat Fiber FTTH Plan
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday dropped its Rs 499 Bharat Fiber plan across India. The Rs 499 plan dubbed as “100GB CUL” was introduced across India except for Andaman and Nicobar Islands in early 2020 with the plan…
Bsnl is writing its own doomsday.! Forget gaining more revenue, they will be loosing everything. 4gb per day at 599 pm is costlier than wireless 4g data. These r doomed to fail. Only way for BSNL to keep making money is by offering 10mbps 500gb at 499. Wrt copper lines, speed is dedicated & not variable. Now private orgs offering 400gb for 499 that to 50mbps is norm for local ISPs. Airtel base pack starts at 100mbps. With 10mbps& no ott & other services like rest, BSNL will loose very big. Also govt lowered isp broadband charges to 1re/year. Bsnl will get flushed soon in Broadband business.
Is it still worth to go for BSNL fiber
reason 1) BSNL has handed over fiber installation and maintain ce with third party, which is less relainble in most cases
2) other private partties other than those who took franchisee to connect subsciber to BSNL server are sometimes cheaper or faster or more relianble.
Does copper wire landline support BSNL broadband plan of 24Mbps 35GB CUL. ? I have opted for that and I only get my old 10Mbps rated plan speed of max 7.7 Mbps. though I have to pay Rs 1600 more per month . Am I being taken for a ride by BSNL ?
Copper wire does not support more than 10 Mbps speed practically depending on distance. If BSNL exchange allotted higher speed in dslam port you feel frequent disconnection in your service. VDSL service can support upto 20 Mbps within 2KM radius. Best is fiber connection. In fiber connection you will get the assured speed and reliable service. Fiber plans also very cheaper compared to daily data limit dsl plans.
