Bharti Airtel has picked the products and services of top wireless hauling specialist Ceragon for additional 4G network expansion. Since the demand for broadband connections have increased in India amid the lockdown period, Bharti Airtel is planning to increase the…
Wake up and smell the coffee when operators like Jio has already finished its 4G expansion in rural areas Airtel is just starting its expansion plan.
This shows who is strong when it comes to rural connectivity.
2012 1st 4g launch by airtl in india....but they never expand their cvrg in deadicately ...wo u r dumb airtl
We have to connect more towers with fiber, not microwave. Without fiberization, dream of 5G cant be fullfilled.
Recently Airtel deployed Band 40 at my Village. But Band 40 coverage in my home is still at outdoor. So in Indoor Band 1 speed has improved as the people nearby to the tower get launched to Band 40.
Still Jio has good speed at my place with best Band 40 coverage and Bts connected with Ofc. Airtel has to expand its fiber infrastructure (Broad Band) and their Bts has to be connected with OFC to compete with JIo.
Due to Airtel and JIO acquired almost 85% of mobile subscribers here VOID becomes Void here and BSNL 4G delay will make them to fade out of competition.
Still expansion will be on MICROWAVE backhaul and not fibre. Backhaul capacity of 1gig only
Sad, jio is actively expanding on fibre wherever possible in rural areas
At least Airtel could have looked at fibre sharing with bsnl and jio.
Speed of jio will always be much higher than Airtel always in rural areas
In my village phone not getting a single bar of Airtel 2g, so forget about airtel 4g.
Idea-Vodafone, BSNL, & JIO at every corner of my village.
Surprised of not geeting even 2g signal from Airtel. They always advertising India's fastest network. I'm asking Ghanta fastest network when there is no network.
I learnt that Airtel was the first telecom operator to launch 4G in India in 2012 ie, 8yrs back !!
So, there's no such thing as first mover's advantage!
Or, may be I'm little old and I need to reincarnate & enroll myself in their University to get proper "Indian" education 😉
BTW, I'm seriously waiting to get an education that 4G is for voice call only, for internet use 5G ...
Airtel first try to give 4G services then think of 5G services in India ,also stop your frustrating AD for fastest network in India.
@Ram Not really.. a month ago Mediatek YouTube channel uploaded a video that Mediatek company is working on VoNR (i.e voice over new radio = NR/5G) with Ericsson company. & in the beginning of 2021 we will see voice over 5G.
