--- DoT ---
Instructions from the DoT :
"The government of India has, inter-alia, approved the mandatory utilization of capacities of BSNL and MTNL by all ministries/departments of government of India/CPSEs/Central Autonomous Bodies. All Ministries/Departments are accordingly requested to issue necessary instructions including to CPSEs/Central Autonomous Organizations under their control for mandatory utilization of BSNL/MTNL network for internet, for internet/broadband, landline/leased line requirements."
This is a very welcome and an unexpected move from the DoT.
These instructions from DoT will somewhat induce belief and confidence in BSNL's future. I see this as a first +ve move which helps BSNL Broadband to stand on its own and have its advantages best known to us. If not BSNL, who can do this gigantic feat of last-mile connectivity to every corner of our country selflessly?
BSNL is ours, and if the revival plans (if concrete and consumer-centric) are executed flawlessly, it will be in the lead for Digital India or AatmaNirbhar Bharat. By now, DoT must have already observed how much revenue BSNL, the digital arm of the country, can generate. The potential and market are welcoming if services are +ve from BSNL.
It is interesting to see how events are turning up for the betterment.
Best Wishes, BSNL.
